The 'turrón' is the Spanish Christmas specialty par excellence. This biscuit specialty, consisting of roasted almonds, sugar, honey, egg whites and wafers, is the best-known and most popular Christmas specialty in Spain.
This is a 'supreme' quality nougat, which means it contains a minimum of 60% almond and is certified and stamped by the 'Consejo Regulador de Jijona' (the body that regulates production of nougat, requiring minimum standards for certification). Each unit is given a unique serial number, guaranteeing stis authenticity and origin.
