Hello, we are at the beginning of August in our organic pomegranate orchard. The work we are doing these days consists of grafting the ACCO variety of pomegranates onto the Mollar variety of pomegranates.
The grafting technique we use is the same as with orange trees and it works well for us, we cover the graft with flexible plastic so that no air gets in and in about 20 days if everything goes well we will have the pomegranate variety millar to be able to harvest in two years.
The ACCO variety pomegranates have a short harvesting period, because if there is a lot of rain, which is normal in autumn, the skin of this ACCO pomegranate cracks and the skin is old.
And therefore they are no longer good to send, so we are changing the variety of Mollar pomegranates, it is a variety of pomegranate that has a longer harvesting time can be kept well until December, it also depends on the weather how rainy it is.
As we have the potion to make bottled natural pomegranate juice we take advantage of the season to make natural organic pomegranate juice, normally we make it from the ACCO variety pomegranate which has an intense red colour, or combined with the juice of the mollar pomegranate and the juice of the ACCO pomegranate so that we can enjoy it all year round.
The Mollar pomegranate is the most appreciated variety of pomegranate for its sweet taste and for having a small seed, which is why we are committed to producing more organic Mollar pomegranate.
