In this video, you can see how we harvest our organic kumquats directly from the tree in our fields in Valencia, Spain.

Years ago, we had just one tree of organic kumquats in our field. We loved this fruit and used to eat it straight from the tree, with the skin.

Kumquats are a very special fruit among organic citrus fruits, because they are eaten whole. The skin is sweet, while the inside has a slightly sour taste, and many of the nutrients are found in the peel.

That’s why it is very important that they are organically grown. If you eat the peel, the fruit must be clean and free from chemicals.

Over time, customers started asking us if we had kumquats available. That’s when we decided to plant more trees.

About 7 years ago, we planted the trees you can see in the video. At the beginning they were small, but today they have grown so much that we need a ladder to harvest them.

Every year, production increases, and thanks to your orders we can offer fresh organic kumquats directly from the farmer.

Kumquat season in Valencia

The season starts in November, when the first fruits ripen, and lasts until around June, depending on demand.
