    The Terra i Xufa horchata is made with unrefined organic cane sugar, and does not contain any preservatives or colouring agents. It is heart-healthy and antioxidant, due to its high content of oleic and folic acids and phytosterols, helping to maintain blood cholesterol levels. Contains 1% protein and essential amino acids such as arginine, a precursor of prolactin. High in soluble vegetable fibre, so it can prevent intestinal function disorders, and even helps prevent colon cancer. It has a prebiotic effect, and facilitates the digestion of carbohydrates. Rich in minerals, especially phosphorus, potassium, calcium, iron, magnesium, and vitamins E and C. 0% lactose, 0% gluten, 100% vegetable.

    Terra i Xufa horchata can be consumed both hot and cold. It is an ideal substitute for other animal and vegetable milks, at breakfast or as a snack, and to accompany coffee or cereals. It is also an ideal ingredient to give a special touch to the kitchen. Substitute milk for Horchata in your favourite recipes, and make surprising milkshakes, custards, custard, sponge cakes, hot chocolate...

    Unlike the majority of horchatas that we can find in the market, this horchata does not have milk protein as a stabiliser, it has been replaced by ecological stabilisers from vegetables. Therefore, it is a drink suitable for vegans and lactose intolerant people.

    Horchata is made from the tiger nut, a tuber of the plant of the same name. Apparently, it was already used in ancient Egypt, and vessels containing tigernuts have been found as part of the funerary trousseau of the pharaohs. Likewise, Persian and Arab authors of antiquity mention the digestive and disinfectant benefits of the tigernut, which was then used as a medicinal drink because it was considered to be energetic and diuretic. It originated in Alboraya and is a typical sweet of the Valencian Community and is usually accompanied by fartons.
