Why Organic Mandarins Have Seeds and Small Spots on the Skin<\/h1>\n

If you have ever opened one of our organic mandarins<\/strong> and found a seed<\/strong>, or noticed small dark spots on the skin<\/strong>, you may wonder why this happens. The answer is simple and beautiful: it is pure nature<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Why do some organic mandarins have seeds?<\/h2>\n

Seeds appear because of a natural process called cross-pollination<\/strong>. Bees<\/strong> and other pollinators carry pollen from one citrus variety to another while visiting the flowers. This is especially common in hybrid varieties such as Clemenvilla<\/strong>, Ortanique<\/strong>, and other late mandarins.<\/p>\n

In organic farming<\/strong>, bees are not removed \u2014 they are protected and encouraged. They are essential for fruit set<\/strong>, biodiversity<\/strong>, and the overall health of the orchard. Because of this, fruit develops in a more natural way, and sometimes that means seeds appear.<\/p>\n

Why do some mandarins have small black spots or marks on the skin?<\/h2>\n

These small spots or marks are caused by natural factors such as morning dew<\/strong>, humidity<\/strong>, rain<\/strong>, and natural microorganisms<\/strong> from the orchard. They are only on the skin and have no effect on the inside of the fruit<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In conventional agriculture, these marks are prevented by using fungicides and chemical treatments<\/strong> to keep the skin looking perfect. In organic farming, the skin is not sterilized, which keeps the fruit alive, natural and authentic<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
